Duty Station: IOM Budapest, Hungary
Position Title: Reintegration Assistant
Type of Appointment: 9-months with a possibility of extension
Classification: Grade Equivalent G III (UN salary scale for Hungary)
Estimated Starting Date: as soon as possible

General functions: Under the overall management of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator, the Reintegration Assistant is responsible for the following:

  1. Provide general support in coordinating return and reintegration assistance to the Hungarian beneficiaries of the Canadian Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration programme (CAVRR)
  2. Help in maintaining regular liaison with beneficiaries and advise them on the eligibility and types of reintegration assistance
  3. Assist in the coordination with the IOM office in Canada, donors, partners and service providers as required
  4. Ensure timely submission of Inception and Reintegration Reports and Service Fee Forms to the Donor together with supporting documentation
  5. Maintain accurate records and statistics of CAVRR movements
  6. Assist the Operations Department regarding the arrival assistance to CAVRR beneficiaries
  7. Handle the phone queries for CAVRR beneficiaries
  8. Provide support to the Admin & Finance Dept as requested; assist in handling the procurement process of goods and services as pertaining to the reintegration assistance
  9. Undertake duty travel related to programme implementation if required
  10. Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the supervisors.

Desirable Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

a) High school diploma or equivalent b) At least three years of relevant professional experience c) familiarity with migration issues d) social work or casework experience is an advantage

Languages: l) Very good command of both English and Hungarian.
